We as individuals are responsible for building and creating a more inclusive world to live and work in. So how can we foster equal representation in the workplace? Let's discuss it. Join us and 4 speakers who are experienced in growing diversity and inclusion initiatives in their organization. We explore the perceptions people have versus the reality of diversity in the tech industry today - and more importantly, we're going to hear how others have already made an impact in their organizations. This is an AD2SF fundraising event for local Bay Area nonprofit, Hack the Hood. Hack the Hood has developed an innovative model for introducing low-income youth of color to careers in the tech industry - we want to further these efforts and hope that you will too. It'll be an evening filled with food, drinks and inspiring stories. All of the event's ticket purchases and other contributions will directly benefit Hack the Hood's 6-week Bootcamp program, where young people of color learn web design by building professional websites for local small business owners. If you can't make it, please spread the word and donate. We can't wait to see you on September 20th!
