Global Climate Action Summit 2018 Affiliate Event Leaders across the world have a responsibility to prepare and empower young people to tackle the profound challenges resulting from global climate change. Environmental and climate literacy for all students across the globe is key to solving those challenges. It is critical that we tap into the vast potential for youth to catalyze a stronger, more inclusive, more vibrant climate movement. Seats for this intimate, invitation-only event are limited, so we highly encourage you to RSVP as soon as possible. Please do not register unless you plan to attend the event. In addition, there is a waitlist, so if for any reason you register and are unable attend, please let the organizers know as soon as possible so that another person can attend the event. Event Details This one-day event will focus on elevating the importance of education as a systemic, strategic tool to advance climate action and identify how sectors across the climate movement can work together to support policies, initiatives, and actions that advance this goal. The day will feature inspiring youth and adult speakers highlighting the power of education and activism, and feature an engaging youth performance. The day will also include panels with short presentations, followed by rich discussion and brainstorming sessions with audience members focused on action-oriented goals. The topics explored in each panel will map back to Global Climate Action Summit (GCAS) Challenges.
