Leadership Circle, Patrons Circle, and exhibition sponsors are invited to the opening celebration of Contemporary Muslim Fashions, which will include a fashion presentation of styles inspired by the exhibition, with opening remarks by Jill D’Alessandro, curator in charge of costume and textile arts. Guests preview the exhibition before it opens to the public and enjoy a reception featuring flavors from the regions featured in the exhibition, the first at a major museum to explore the complex, diverse nature of Muslim dress codes worldwide.
