Come experience Pier 9, our center for design & digital manufacturing, where we come together with our customers and partners to bring to life a shared vision and shape the future of making things. It is here we push the boundaries of design and digital manufacturing exploring the intersection of software, hardware, and materials to enable new workflows and manufacturing methods. Pier 9 Ambassador tours take one hour and are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. To ensure the best possible experience, tours are limited to 20 guests. All guests must register to attend the tour. Registration is open until 15 minutes prior to the start of the tour.  All youth ages 13-17 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian to participate in the tour. Unfortunately we cannot accommodate youth age 12 and under on public tours. Questions and Rules: Please contact us if your group requires any special attention. Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event? Guests  ages of 13 to 17 are allowed on tours WITH COMPLETED PHYSICAL WAIVERS SIGNED BY THEIR PARENT OR LEGAL GUARDIAN.  What are my transport/parking options getting to the event? Metered street parking is available along the Western side of the Embarcadero and numerous paid parking lots in the area. Guest parking is NOT allowed inside the Pier. What can/can't I bring to the event? Wear closed-toed shoes, bring a camera, and lots of interest and questions. Guests must wear closed-toed shoes to enter the workshop spaces. Photography is allowed within all workshop spaces, but is not allowed in any of the office areas of Pier 9. If photographing a Workshop user in the shop, please be respectful and safely ask permission before doing so. If a Workshop User is using a machine, please make sure not to interrupt if it is unsafe to do so. While on your tour you may pass by classes in progress - please be respectful and minimize class disruption.
