Alive Again is a docudrama reality show created by Mark Shepherd and Hoa Tong about ordinary people who have been pronounced clinically dead but were miraculously brought back to life with an extraordinary tale of life after death. The show will prove the existence of the afterlife from a balanced historical, scientific and spiritual point of view and how the experience itself has impacted the lives of those who lived to tell about it. Ultimately, the show seeks to give hope to viewers facing the inevitable through the inspiring stories of the featured survivors. The pilot features the true story of Adriana Gallardo. It began like any other day as Adriana prepared herself for a family gathering. Pregnant with her first child, she thought nothing of the pain in her chest and stomach. Within a matter of hours, she found herself in a hospital emergency room in northern California fighting for her life and that of her unborn child. A fight in which she was about to lose. She dies on the operating table and awakens in a heavenly realm, Only a medical miracle now could bring her back to life again. The true story is narrated by Adriana herself with an eyewitness account from Luis, the father of her firstborn, and Marcus Lorenzo-Penn, M.D, as a medical correspondent. Dramatic re-enactments and an original music score help bring this inspiring, heartfelt story of hope to live. Q and A after the screening.
